Daqui as vistas são fabulosas, pautadas pela região serrana, com pinhais, penedos rochosos, profundos vales, diversas grutas e abrigos, e abundantes cursos de água.

From here the views are fabulous, guided by the mountainous region, with pine forests, rocky cliffs, deep valleys, numerous caves and shelters, and abundant waterways.
A Lenda da Parteira de Pampilhosa da Serra
Diz-se que outrora aqui existia uma comunidade Mourisca que uma gruta num sítio chamado "Ponte da Covilhã".
Certo dia, uma mulher Moura encontrou-se em grandes dificuldades no trabalho de parto. O marido, aflito, foi procurar auxílio à povoação, em busca da parteira da região. Algumas pessoas não confiavam nos Mouros e aconselharam-na a não ir porque eles podiam matá-la.
A senhora encheu-se de coragem e foi fazer o parto que, por sinal, correu muito bem. Em troca da sua bondade o Mouro deu-lhe quatro pedras de carvão.
A senhora pelo caminho olhou fixamente para as pedras e, não encontrando qualquer uso ou valor nelas, atirou-as para o chão. Pensou melhor e levou duas para casa,e ao chegar atirou-as para trás da lareira. De manhã, quando olhou para a lareira e viu duas pedras de ouro, vestiu-se rapidamente e foi a correr para o local onde tinha deixado as outras duas, mas estas tinham desaparecido.
