I am placing a puzzle cache to celebrate exactly one year of geocaching. In that time, I've moved house, finished uni, found over 750 geocaches, and more importantly, had a lot of geocaching companions.
Often, it is important for geocachers to have companions. Even if you are the lone-wolf type cacher who would rather have your own geocaching experiences and not be part of a larger team, companions are very useful to get a different perspective or simply to share the journey. At least 40% of my found geocaches have been with a companion, usually a different one each time, for different reasons each time. Several have very good eyesight, some are great at spotting urban caches, others spot me when I go tree climbing (and some climb with me!), and every single one of them has perked up my energy, especially after a string of DNFs.
Twenty-nine of my good friends and family have helped me find at least one geocache. Names such as Erin-Rose, malea263, Figs89, SanguineDragonflye, al.grimes, PunkRockZoologist and Hevic have come along to help me in these adventures.
So I've created this puzzle with the number twenty-nine in mind. Below is a zip file containing twenty-nine QR codes. Each code contains two or three initials - you may safely ignore these, they are commemorative only - and one clue. Use these clues to logically deduce the location of the cache.
One simple rule: each letter A, B, C, D, F, G, H, J, K, L stands for a different digit from 0 to 9. Your job is to find out which letter represents each number, then to transform these numbers into coordinates. Good luck!
