December 25th, 2013 will be the culmination of two solid years of caching without a day off for islandfinders. It will be their 731st consecutive day of caching and the goal for their streak. They have cached far and wide, in all varieties of weather and in many different and varied locations to be able to keep their streak alive to this point. They have been able to complete many of the hardest puzzles, some of the most difficult challenges and search for and find some of the most distant caches originating from the Victoria area and beyond during this personal quest to "leave no cache unfound".
If that isn't enough of a reason to gather for a celebratory picture, then how about the fact that it's Christmas Day and most people will need to get out of the house after all the gifts have been opened and the turkey is in the oven. Come out and join us for a quick little hike up to the topographical marker (that is what is says on the park map) and wish each other "Season's Greetings".
There will be a log book to sign as well as a picture taken at 1 pm at the cairn located at GZ. If you're as committed as Islandfinders, then come out on this special day and join us with them.
