Reviewer notes

Use this space to describe your geocache location, container, and how it's hidden to your reviewer. If you've made changes, tell the reviewer what changes you made. The more they know, the easier it is for them to publish your geocache. This note will not be visible to the public when your geocache is published.

Ministro: In line with the guidelines http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx?expand=1#event , events are to be archived once the event is over. They do not need to be left open as people can log the event when it is archived.

I've archived this one for you.

Rgds,
Matt - Ministro.
[red]Before this cache is published, a 'log your find/post reviewer note' is probably the best way to communicate with me. It puts it 'on the record', but comments will be archived before the cache goes on-line. An email is preferable after that.[/red] Have a look here https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=74)

Geocache Description:

Central Victorian Get Together VII: At the 'Maine
Anzac Day (Friday 25th April) 2014

Come and enjoy a day of socialising and geocaching in the historic town of Castlemaine.

Just off the Calder Freeway with 2 caravan parks, several award winning restaurants and some free camping out the road at Warburton's Bridge.

This Central Victorian Get Together will be the seventh in what started as an annual event showcasing some of the cities in central Victoria.
We've been to Bendigo, Shepparton, Ballarat and last year Echuca.

The venue will be the historical Botanical Gardens which have recently undergone a multi-million dollar refurbishment, including the installation of a new playground and picnic facilities.  A terrific spot for a get together and the small cachers will love it here. There are barbecues and some tables available but BYO everything else you need

We'll be there from 11am until 1pm and then you will be able to find quite a variety of caches in the area - hidden by a lots of different teams to provide you with some challenges.

ANZAC Day falls on a Friday so some of you may decide to make a long weekend of it on your way home from the Mega.
