Geocache Description:

Novi stalni postav Muzeja nudi cjeloviti pregled feudalnog Hrvatskog zagorja jer su povijest, kultura i svakodnevnica toga doba obrađeni kroz nekoliko tema.

The museum of Peasants' Revolt (Muzej seljačkih buna) was established on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the Great Peasant Revolt of the 1573rd Located in the Baroque castle Oršić from the 18th century , built in 1756. at the site of a medieval fortress whose remains can still be found in the inner courtyard . The permanent exhibition was opened in 2002nd and it offers a comprehensive overview of the feudal Zagorje because the history , culture and daily life of that time are showed through several themes . Peasant Revolt of the 1573rd is the central event , but feudal society is not shown only through class conflict , but also through the layered changes of social organization in the area of Hrvatsko Zagorje from the late Middle Ages to its official abolition of the 1848th. In the castle there is a wine cellar where you can find wine barrels from the period that peasant cooperatives were set in. Nearby the museum there is beautifully landscaped park , a mile long promenade leading to Gupčeva lipa (Gubec's linden) . The museum organizes temporary exhibitions , museum workshops and events ,and  most notably are the Medieval tournament and marking the Peasants' Revolt .

Petric Kerempuh is a literary character who appears in several literary works and the most famous are the "Ballads of Petrica Kerempuha"(Balade Petrice Kerempuha) of well-known Croatian writer Miroslav Krleža. Petrica Kerempuh is the people's prophet and cynical commentator of contemporary events.  The literal meaning of "kerempuh" means "intestine, stomach," and metaphorically means cunning man, merrymaker,…

'Petric and Galženjaki (Petrica and hanged man)', a statue, an original sculpture in bronze by Vanja Radauš out in 1973. year.

Made in the year of the opening of the Museum of Peasant Uprisings (Muzej seljačkih buna) in Upper Stubica (Gornja Stubica) where today is located. The position of sculpture in Gornja Stubica was chosen by the author, and sculpture is considered one of his major works. A second, identical sculpture, also original, is located in Zagreb, Dolac.

Area of statue is roughly treated, full of sudden and sharp parts, without extreme smoothness. Contrast between Petrice Kerempuha and two two hanged man( Galženjaci) is seen in the processing and thematic. The figure Petrica, who is standing and playing guitar is smoother and more graceful, while hanged man (Galženjaci)have  rougher and sharper surface, and their form and position suggest suffering and pain.
