Esta é uma música popular escrita por Irving Gordon. O título original da música era Incomparável. A produtora pediu a Irving para mudar para Inesquecível. A música foi publicada em 1951. A versão mais popular da música foi gravada por Nat King Cole em 1951, com os arranjos escritos por Nelson Riddle. Cole gravou o tom de novo em 1961, numa versão estéreo do arranjo do Riddle, para o álbum The Nat King Cole Story. Em 1991, depois do legendário director musical de Elvis Presley, Joe Guercio ter a ideia, a gravação de 1961 de Cole foi editada e remisturada para criara um dueto com a sua filha, Natalie, que ganhou três Grammy Awards em 1992: Música do Ano, Gravação do Ano e Melhor Performance Pop Tradicional. A gravação orginal de Nat Cole foi introduzida no Grammy Hall of Fame em 2000.

This is a popular song written by Irving Gordon. The song's original working title was Uncomparable. The music publishing company asked Irving to change it to Unforgettable. The song was published in 1951. The most popular version of the song was recorded by Nat King Cole in 1951, with an arrangement written by Nelson Riddle. Cole recorded the tune anew in 1961, in a stereo version of the Riddle arrangement, for the album The Nat King Cole Story. In 1991, after Elvis Presley's legendary musical director Joe Guercio had the idea, Cole's 1961 recording of the song was edited and remixed to create a duet with his daughter, Natalie, which won three awards at the Grammy Awards of 1992: Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Performance. Nat Cole's original recording was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2000.
