Geocache Description:

Amazing as it may seem it is possible to find banana/s in northern Scotland close to the Ben Nevis Inn, 1 mile from Claggan Park where the famous Ben Nevis Race starts!

Alas the yellow banana that clothed the blue bison tube seems to have blown away so today's finders may wonder about the title - but there was a banana hanging here in 2014!

For the record Mr Kenny Stuart, a fell runner from Keswick AC, got up to the summit and down again in 1hr 25min 34sec in 1984. The same year that he took the men's record a lady from the same athletics club, Pauline Haworth, broke the ladies record & she still holds it with 1hr 43min 25sec.
It should not take you that long to find the cache although the ground may be boggy and you might have to fight your way past some fallen trees.
Parking and refreshments are available close by and you will need to take a writing implement with you. Please don't pick the banana/s - just sign the log!

To bisnonno : for his FTF and for completing the Ben Race on 12 occasions
To fatnfifty : for her STF just 10 minutes behind the "fell runner" (retired? )
and to WA+MK for their third to find
or was it Perfect Match ??

A Big THANK YOU to "sneakysnooks" for putting in some fresh log sheet in August 2015 and "The Cuthies & Max" for doing the same in September 2017. A big help !!
