Extract from Captain Morgan's diary dated 1675.
The days dragged on as we waited for a Spring tide to refloat our grounded ship.
Natives of these parts spoke of four hidden scrolls and runes that lead to Merlin's
secret location. Hoping that his magic might assist us I resolved to track him down.
Twas thus that I found myself at this spot
with the first rune in hand. Being skilled in things arcane I was able to decipher
the rune which is a number that I have placed inside the scroll holder for others to use.
