Not much remaining to suggest there was ever a station here. There are a pair of cast iron gate posts dated 1902. And of course there are trains still, but they pass by at speed on the London to Bristol, South Wales and SW England main line.
The station was opened in 1903 and closed to passengers in 1961 and to goods traffic in 1963. Little Somerford was the junction for the Malmesbury branch line which operated between 1933 and 1962. If you continue on the SS series you will cross the former branch line between caches SS19 and SS20.
The entrance to the former station (with the cast iron posts) can be seen from the cache but is on private property. There is no parking in the station entrance way and disabled-only parking outside the village hall. See For Starters : SS1 for series information including suggested parking.
