Geocache Description:

English:
European Silver Fir (Abies alba) is a large conifer, which do not occur naturally in Denmark but is grown to produce timber in large dimensions. It is among the biggest trees occurring naturally in Europe, growing up to 50m in the Alps, with a record of 68m which at that time was the highest tree in Europe. It is rare to find cones of silver fir as they occur only in the top of the tree, only when the tree is of age and they remain in the top while slowly disintegrating in the wind.
