About East Grinstead
East Grinstead is a lovely place to be. With activities available for all types of people of different ages, cultures, and interests, there is always something to do. Activities can be found at visiteastgrinstead.com or eastgrinstead.gov.uk. There are also lots of other attractions nearby the town.
The route
This geocache is a Wherigo cartridge which will take you around most of the landmarks in the town. This walk should take between half an hour to one hour to complete depending on the speed you walk, the weather conditions and any other delays which may occur (according to the OS Get a Map service, the route should take around 37 minutes). Some people who have completed my cartridge who were on a time limit found it quicker to drive between some of the locations, so this may be the best thing to do in bad weather. The whole walk is around 3 kilometres if you take the shortest route.
To make this a reasonable length, I have left some locations out of the tour. These can be found in the waypoints below.

Completing the cartridge
At each location you will be asked a question that you will need to answer correctly to move on to the next stage. At some locations you will need to look at a physical object. At others you will need to find and answer in the description of the location (given to you once you are in the right place).
If you don't get the right answer first time, don't worry, most of the questions are multiple choice and you get as many guesses as you need.
At the end you will be given a completion code. This can be used to prove you have completed the cartridge on wherigo.com. If you don't want to log your find on wherigo.com, don't worry, just logging it here is fine.
Please be aware - Wherigo apps and cartridges are known to crash, so remember to save your progress through the cartridge regularly.
Downloading the cartridge
To find the geocache you will need to download the cartridge. You can download it through the Wherigo.com at bit.ly/1gtTcDv. You can then use it on a supported device. A list of GPSr systems with Wherigo capabilities built in is available at bit.ly/1fxnfWw. You can also play the cartridge using apps on smartphones.
