Maketawa Hut can be accessed from:

Maketawa Track - 1hr 30mins

Mt Egmont summit 4wd Track - 1hr 30mins

Curtis Falls Track - 3-4 hrs

Maketawa Hut was built in 1987 and is one of the nicest huts in the Egmont National Park.

Maketawa hut offers great views of Taranaki.
