uzsākta vairāku fortu būve Mangaļsalā ,
kad
uzcēla
divus
fortus
ar
254
mm lielgabaliem, sešus fortus ar 152 mm lielgabaliem un trīs fortus ar 138mm. Katrā
no
tiem
uzstādīja
2 lielgabalus.
Mangaļsalas
bateriju
sistēma
sastāv
no
vairākām
daļām
un
atrodas
samērā
plašā
teritorijā.
Atsevišķas
no
tām
šobrīd
ir
nepieejamas.
Galamērķa baterija tika pabeigta 1912.gadā un teika stāsta, ka ap pirmā pasaules kara laiku (precīzs laiks nav zināms), kad armija bija atkāpusies, kāds gans atrada šo bateriju. Nezinādams par tanī atrodamiem munīcijas krājumiem, gāja bateriju apsakatīt izmantojot lāpu. Tā aizdedzinādams šaujampulvera un munīcijas krājumus, uzspridzināja visu bateriju. Sprādziens bijis dzirdams vairāku kilometru attālumā.

[ENG] Mangaļsalas batteries over a long period of time has been built by German, Swedish and Russian army. In the 1912 a number of forts were built in Mangalsala. Two forts built for the 254mm cannons, six forts for the 152mm cannons and three forts for the 138mm cannons. In each of those two cannons were installed. Mangaļsalas battery system consists of several parts and is placed relatively wide area. Some of them now is inaccessible.
Destination battery was completed in 1912, and legend says that around the time of the First World War (the exact time is not known), when army had departed, a cattleman found the battery. Not knowing about stocks of ammunition in it, went through a battery with a torch. It set fire to the gunpowder and ammunition and blew up all the battery. The explosion was heard several kilometers away.
