Geocache Description:

This cache is easily accessible from the Lake Trail at the Jug Handle Day Use Area, or at the Cokeley Recreation Area Boat Ramp.  The Lake Trail is one of the newest trails at North Bend State Park, constructed shortly after the dam was installed on the Hughes River, which created the North Bend Lake.  The trail is made up of mostly moderate terrain and is well marked with a blue blaze.  Depending where you access the trail, you will hike through a vareity of habitats, catch glimpses of wildlife, as well as experience different types of flora along your route.  Entrance from the Jug Handle Area is recommended to get the whole experience of the trail, but if pressed for time, the Cokeley Recreation Area would be quicker.

The Lake Trail is a well used trail by hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers.  It affords the guest great views, a variety of terrain, ecosystems, and wildlife.  Please be respectful of all user groups.  Be aware that most trails in the park are open to these users groups, but any motorized means are not permitted on trails in North Bend State Park.

Among the items in the cache, you will find a disposable camera.  Please take a snapshot of yourself, group, or something interesting you view in the area.  Please only take one picture per visit.  As the film is developed I will include the pictures as part of the cache.

Be respectful of the state park and help keep it clean and safe for future seekers.
