I had wanted to write up a compelling and riveting description about the different types of reflections. Even as much as I love this stuff, it became apparent that this would likely just bore folks away from this cache.
Light reflection makes vision possible. All physical objects produce a combination of diffuse and specular reflectivity to bring images to our retinas. Retroreflection is a form of specular reflection that sends light back to its source, (this is what makes a cat's eyes glow). Traffic signs, bicycle reflectors and safety vests employ the same property. See, I've bored you.
This cache will bring you to the old intersection between the Texas & New Orleans and the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe railways. When these tracks were retired, they were abandoned and eventually fell into disrepair. Over ten years ago, talk began about putting a multi-use path on the former railbeds. The biggest part of the Santa Fe Trail was open for use in 2009. The plan is for this to eventually stretch all the way to the Trinity River Audubon Center on Ledbetter.
Big thanks to H2Guy for allowing me to adopt this awesome spot.
And a shout-out to 2Xtreme. It was your Tenison Trail caches that introduced me to this awesome stretch of greenbelt, south of White Rock Lake.
Congrats to allenmabry, TeamOxford and drives on the co-FTF!
