FamousEccles: Sadly, time to start saying goodbye to this cache along with nearby caches in the FF40 series.

Massive thanks to everyone who took the time to solve the puzzle and visit the cache itself.

The plan is to begin by archiving FF40 #22 to #27 (plus other nearby caches) which have been adversely affected by recent forestry activities. We will archive the remainder of theFF40 series in the coming weeks.

Happy caching. FE.

Geocache Description:

Advance Notice

We are planning to archive the FF40 series in the coming months (plus four nearby caches), starting with the following cluster, which we hope to take in soon after 4th July 2020. The remainder of the FF40 series will be archived in the following 1-2 months. As reported elsewhere, parts of Nipper Grove, through which this string passes, have recently undergone significant levels of forestry, making some of these caches hard to access.

We are always amazed how knowledgeable birders are on their area of special interest.  But don’t worry. This is a mixed ability puzzle.

We know absolutely nothing about birds ourselves which puts us at something of a disadvantage when it comes to setting a puzzle with an ornithological theme.  'Eagles', for example – be they Bald, Crested or White-tailed – are all just ‘Eagles’ to us.  But we had to look no further than Wiki to find helpful information about lots of the birds featured in this puzzle.

The Image Gallery contains some nice pictures of birds.  The images are labelled A to M.

The listed coordinates are not for the cache itself, but are for a handy place to park.  To find the cache, you will need to decode the following alpha-numeric sequences.

North (A,2)(B,3)  (C,1)(D,2).(E,2)(F,2)(G,9)

West (H,2)  (I,1)(J,2).(K,3)(L,3)(M,1)
