This is a simple, small cache placed at the end of the Deer Creek spur of the South Tama Rec Trail, a usually tranquil spot about 1/4-mile west of Cherry Lake in Tama. Popular parking area for this cache is at the East end of Cherry Lake, so this could easily be a 1.5 mile round-trip on foot. But it's a very pleasant, flat walking or biking trail with a crushed limestone surface.
If you're headed for "Together", this cache is an easy walk beyond that point, but bring some bug spray in the summer months.
This small cache container is not on the ground and high enough to be safe from any flooding. The container, replaced in December 2014, is no longer large enough to hold much more than a log sheet. BYOP.
There's lots of poision ivy nearby in the summer if you wander off-trail, so be very careful when you get to GZ. You don't have to go far off-trail but be careful and on the lookout for PI. Enjoy.
