Geocaching 101 / M&G @ The Edgerton Public Library Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

CEO&J: Time to archive. I think this event was pretty successful! Learned some things and met some great people. Thanks to all who attended and maybe we can do another 101 or maybe even a 201 (Cheviac's turn next time) [;)] in the future.

Geocache Description:

Geocaching 101 Presentation and Meet & Greet at

The Edgerton Public Library

At the request of the Edgerton Public Library and in conjunction with the WGA;

C of CEO&J and Cheviac72 are hosting a Geocaching 101 (The Basics) Presentation and Meet & Greet.

What:  Geocaching 101 Presentation (The Basics)  ------  Informal Meet and Greet to follow the presentation

When:  Saturday - June 28th 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Who:  This event is open to everybody – Curious Non-Cachers, New Cachers, and Experienced Cachers!

Where:  Edgerton Public Library

              101 Albion St.

              Edgerton, WI 53534

Why:  Edgerton Public Library director Sherry Machones has requested a presentation to focus on the basics of Geocaching to help inform and guide people who are interested and curious about Geocaching. The goal is to help supply some basic information to anyone who wants to learn the principals and foundations of the activity.  An informal Meet & Greet will immediately follow the presentation with the intent of sharing information and helping interested non-cachers, new cachers, and even seasoned cachers gain some knowledge and advice. As always, putting faces to names/handles is always a great experience!  There will be a new cache placed in the vicinity of the Event so a little “hands-on caching” and an “in-the-field” experience can take place for new cachers and potential cachers-to-be.

Other Details:  If you’re interested in this fun and easy going event please log an “attend” or post a “note” so we can gather enough supplies and make sure we have enough seating arranged for all.   We encourage experienced cachers to please bring your Geocaching gear, GPSr, Tools, and / or any cache containers to share and display for learning purposes!

We look forward to hosting this event and encourage the heckling to be held to a minimum!
