Geocache Description:

This is a one of a series of 51 caches (50 traditional (States) and a puzzle bonus (USA)) that will take you around the town of Thornbury.

All the caches are to do with the USA and will give you info on all the states.

To help you navigate the public footways around this area, the Explorer 167 map will be helpful.

Once you have found all the caches in the series, send me a message and I will send you a souvenir for you to display on your profile page.

1) The Alamo is located in San Antonio. It is where Texas defenders fell to Mexican General Santa Anna and the phrase Remember the Alamo originated. The Alamo is considered the cradle of Texas liberty and the state's most popular historic site.

3) The first suspension bridge in the United States was the Waco Bridge. Built in 1870 and still in use today as a pedestrian crossing of the Brazos River.
