Cape Greco is the second largest national park in Cyprus after the National Forest Park of the Akamas Peninsula. Cape Greko combines low brushes, rocks, local flowers, caves, sandy and rocky beaches, cycling routes, trees and countless places to explore. Here's a brief history about that place: 2000 years ago, the whole region of southeastern Cyprus was a really dry place with lots of snakes. When Saint Hellen, the mother of Constantine the Great arrived at Cape Greco by boat, brought with her many many cats to eat the snakes, as well as a part of the Holly Cross which is hosted at "Stavrovouni" today
The area there is a bit weird due to the low bushes all over the area which create a small national forest with many hiking and cycling roads and trailheads and small but beautiful rocky beaches
According to a local legend, Cape Greco houses the "Ayia Napa Sea Monster" that in fact, nobody has seen for ages
When the British authorities arrived in Cyprus, they built a large Medioimwave Broadcasting station at the very end of the Cape with several radiator Antennas that can be seen from miles away. This station today is completely owned by the Cyprus Goverment.
