EN - Trail "Around Lithuania - Prologue" is an introduction to the cycle "Around Lithuania" which resembles the shape of Lithuania. In this shape there are caches dedicated to the Lithuanian cities because the caches are hidden in the exact projected spots according to the real map. Caches are hidden by the representatives of the respective cities.
LT - Plungė - miests šiaurės vakarū Lietuvuo, Telšių apskritie, rajuona centrus. Plungie gyven vėrš 16 000 žmuonių. Geograpėška Plungė y įsikūrusi vakarų žemaitiu plynaukštie, ont Babrunga opalė, katras y ožtvėnkts i dėtuo y susidariusi vadėnamuojė Plungės jūra - prūds vėdorie miesta. Iki XVI o. II posės Plungė bova Gondingas valsčiaus paprasts kaimielis, bet paskiau pradiejė greta augtė i tep pralėnkė Gondinga. Nu 1567 m. Plungė jau vadėnama mieteliu. 1792 m. gava Magdeburga teisės i teisėška patapa miestu priš pat valstybės panaikėnėma. Plungė y žėnuoma dė to, ka tėn kurį laika aktyve reiškies kunigaikšte Oginske. Daba da tebie anū atbūdinkavuotė paluoce, laikrodene, arklides i pu bėški tvarkuoms parks. Paluoce bova pastatytė 1879 m., i y vėins gražiausiu dvarū kompleksu Lietuvuo. Ten y įkorts Žemaitiu dailies muziejus. Oginskiu uorkestrė gruojė M. K. Čiurliuonis, kažkėik laika čia i gyvena su sava žmuona Suopėjė. Miestė y neoromanėnė bažnyčia, pastatyta XX o. pėrmuo posie. 2009 m. Plungė bova Lietuvuos kultūras suostėnė.
EN - Plungė is a city in North-West part of Lithuania, a centre of district. There are more than 16 000 inhabitants in Plungė. Geographically, city is located on the banks of river Babrungas. It is dammed up thus forming a dam, called "the Sea of Plungė" by locals. Till 2nd half of 16th century Plungė was an ordinary village of Gandinga ward but later grew faster than Gandinga and became a centre of the ward. In 1792 Plungė was entitled with Magdeburg city rights. Cuty of Plungė is famous for its history in New Ages. Since the owner rights were granted to the dukes Oginski who in 1879 built a palace complex and a park. Today, this complex is one of the best examples of such architecture. Now, Žemaičiai Art Museum is established there. In 1889-1892 Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis was a student in Oginski music school in Plungė and here he was living with his wife Sofija Kymantaitė-Čiurlionienė. There is a red brick neo-Roman church which was built in the first half of 20th c. In 2009 Plungė was entitled a capital of Culture of Lithuania.
