EN: We already established that Croatians have big clocks, but did you know we have a lot of big balls, too?
Recently, I stumbled upon this sculpture by accident, a magnificent one I might add. It's made by a famous croatian sculptor Dušan Džamonja. He used to live in the neighborhood, where he also had his atelier. If you look closer, you'll see that this huge ball is actually made of chain. Ever heard of expression „you're my ball and chain“? Well, this one is all in one.
Enjoy this quiet oasis of Zagreb, just few hundred meters from the busy city centre.


HR: Već smo ustanovili da u Hrvata ima velikih satova, a da li ste znali da imamo i velikih kugli (ne znam, ali ovo mi na engleskom zvuči neusporedivo bolje…)??.
Nedavno sam slučajno naletio na ovu skulpturu, i to fantastičnu, po mom skromnom sudu. Djelo je to poznatog hrvatskog kipara Dušana Džamonje koji je stanovao odmah tu u susjedstvu, a nedaleko mu je bio i atelier. Ako pogledate malo bolje, vidjet ćete da je ova kugla u stvari napravljena od savršeno namotanog lanca.
Uživajte u ovoj tihoj oazici Zagreba, samo par stotina metara od užurbanog gradskog centra.
