servman: Time for this one to go... Judging by the log book there have been a lot more visitors that I initally thought.

I had trouble finding it in all the under-growth. I eventually found it by poking it with a stick and hearing the hollow metallic echo. I looked for a good 30 minutes (in a 5m radius) before finding it; I now remember why I don't cache in my bike shorts usually (lots of stinging nettles!).

Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

Maybe not a good spot to bring the kids, it's a 4km trip from the nearest parking (a boat can get a lot closer), good for a bike ride though with paved roads almost the whole way. Please note that the park is open from 9 AM to dusk on weekends and holidays only. Weekday access is limited to dump trucks only.

In a potentially Hitchcock-esque scene, this cache is located about 60m from a gull colony and there are multiple Kingfishers nesting in each tree above. This cache was originally to be called "The Long Road" as a hommage to the distance you had to walk to get to it. Once I got to the location though I knew I had to change it.

The cache is a 7.62mm ammo box. Birders will like (and probabably already know it) this spot. Look for Killdeer, Belted Kingfishers, Swallows, Heron's, Loons (I think...), Ducks in addition to the ubiquitous Canada Geese and Herring Gulls.

The initial contents of the cache are a logbook, pencils and a handful of HotWheels (I think they're about to become my signature item).

Additional Hints (Encrypt)

Down by the water, off the path near a broken sign.
