thejayocacher: Unfortunately, I don't have time to maintain this series anymore as a few of the caches seem to go missing a lot.
#7 will remain in place as it needs little maintenance.

Geocache Description:

Des Serie

D’Clairefontaine Serie ass eng Serie mat siwen Cachen.

Direktiounen

Vum Parking gitt duerch den Tunnel an dann direkt lénks iwwert d'Bréck an d'Belge. Gidd dem Wee laanscht d'Baach "Eisch" einfach no.

The Series

The Clairefontaine Series is a series of seven caches starting at Steinfort where you’ll cross the river Eisch before following it down to Clairefontaine through Belgium. At Clairefontaine you cross the river and you can log one of my previously hidden caches (GC58WG0). You’ll then walk back up towards Steinfort on the Luxembourgish side of the river.

It’s a very nice and easy walk of about eight kilometers, suitable for kids and can easily be done on a bike. I often see horses on parts of the track but I’m not sure whether it can be done entirely on a horse. If you don’t own a horse, be aware that you might encounter some :)

Please note you can start this series from any of the caches.

Directions

Park your car at the given coordinates, walk through the tunnel and turn left to cross the river right after you come out of the tunnel. Follow the path along the river.

The Cache

The first cache of the series is placed at a location I remember well from my childhood. At this location is a tree with a bowl-shaped hole at its base, which seems to always contain water, even during the driest of summers. It used to be my 1st dog's secret waterbowl for a quick refuel in the middle of the forest. If you have a geopooch, feel free to let him drink.
