Geocache Description:

Des Serie

D’Clairefontaine Serie ass eng Serie mat siwen Cachen.

De Cache ass op engem Bam verstoppt deen bëssen an d'Baach eran steet. No vill Reen kann et sinn dass den Cache net sou einfach ze areechen ass, dir misst den Cache awer meeschtens loggen kennen ouni d'Féiss naass ze kréien. Dir musst engem klengen Pad vum Wee no ginn deen een geien Hiwwel rof geet.

The Series

The Clairefontaine Series is a series of seven caches starting at Steinfort where you’ll cross the river Eisch before following it down to Clairefontaine through Belgium. At Clairefontaine you cross the river and you can log one of my previously hidden caches (GC58WG0). You’ll then walk back up towards Steinfort on the Luxembourgish side of the river.

It’s a very nice and easy walk of about eight kilometers, suitable for kids and can easily be done on a bike. I often see horses on parts of the track but I’m not sure whether it can be done entirely on a horse. If you don’t own a horse, be aware that you might encounter some :)

Please note you can start this series from any of the caches.

Directions

From the first cache keep following the path until you get to the intersection. Follow the path on your right. To get to the cache you have to leave the path and walk to the river.

This Cache

The cache is hidden on a tree a meter or so into the river. After periods of high rainfall the cache may be unreachable but, most of the time, you should be able to reach it without getting your feet wet. From the path you'll have to climb down a steep hill and a little trail leads to the tree.
