Geocache Description:

Here is a new series of caches based on the board game CLUE. If you grew up playing this game as I did, you will 'clue' in quickly.

For those who have never played the game, the goal is simple: there have been six murders in Mr. Boody's mansion. Your mission is to discover who committed the murder, with what weapon and in which room.

In this series, there were six murders, with different weapons and in separate rooms.

Below, you'll find details of the 6 Characters, 9 Rooms and 6 Weapons that are used in the current classic version of the Clue game:

The characters:

  • Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Reverend Green, Mrs. White, Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard

The weapons:

  • Candlestick, Revolver, Rope, Lead Pipe, Knife, Wrench

The Rooms:

  • Kitchen, Hall, Ball Room, Conservatory, Billiard Room, Library, Study, Lounge, Dining Room

The series contains 15 traditional caches, 6 puzzles and a bonus cache for you to find.

  • 6 traditional caches matching the murder weapons used by the 6 murderers: GC5BVXX, GC5BWAV, GC5BWB6, GC5BWBD, GC5BWBH, GC5BWBQ. Inside each cache, you will find the name of the murderer who used this weapon and some of the final details of a puzzle (North coordinates).

  • 9 traditional caches representing the nine rooms of the mansion where the six murders were committed: GC5BWC1, GC5BWC3, GC5BWC5, GC5BWC8, GC5BWCB, GC5BWCF, GC5BWHQ, GC5BWHV, GC5BWHZ. Within 6 of these 9 caches, you will find the name of the murderer who committed the murder in this room and some of the final details of a puzzle (West coordinated). Since 3 rooms have not been a crime, 3 containers do not contain any information.

  • 6 puzzle caches with the name of a character: GC5BWCV, GC5BWGK, GC5BWGV, GC5BWHO, GC5BWH5, GC5BWHB. To find the final coordinates, you must solve the murder associated with that character by finding what weapon and in which room this character committed the murder. As mentioned earlier, the Northing will be found in the cache where the weapon was used and in the Westing will be found in the room where the murder was committed. For example, if Miss Peacock committed a murder with a revolver in the kitchen, then in the cache containing 'Revolver' you will find the North coordinates and the names of the murderer (Miss Peacock in this example) while in the cache containing the name 'Kitchen', you will get the west coordinates and the name of the murderer (in this example, Miss Peacock).

  • 1 bonus cache GC5BWHG. The clues for the bonus cache are found in the 6 puzzle caches

I do hope you enjoy the series. So go out there Sherlock. Find the caches and the clues.

This series was inspired by similar geocaches south of Montreal.
