The world is our playing field with geocaching. As nature is part of that playing field, it is obvious and important that we protect it by geocaching sustainably, with respect for the environment and nature. There are already major initiatives such as CITO events to emphasize this.
But you do not have to wait for an event or to pick up waste every time you go geocaching. It can also be done – as far as possible – by simply using public transport to and from the geocache / geocaching event you want to visit.
After a successful tour in Belgium (> 1000 km, 65 train stations, 11 events in 1 day), the geotrainmen will reconfirm this on an European level. We will visit 7 major cities in 5 different countries, in 1 day. Events will be held during stops while waiting for the next train.
We would like you to use public transport from/to the event(s). Travelling can only be done with a valid ticket at your expense.
If desired, one can attend multiple events, but it is not mandatory.
If you want to attend multiple events, please log a 'will attend' for each event concerned.
The schedule can be found hereunder.
- The logging will take place at the entrance hall of the station at the meeting point. Be on time.
- In order to let everybody log validly within the short time frame, please provide your name already written, stamped, stickered, … on a bit of paper. These pieces of paper will be collected upon our arrival.
- Trackables can be exchanged as long as time permits us to take the next train in a safe way.
Unforeseen circumstances can happen. Your ‘will attend’ insures that you will have all the up to date news. On the day itself, please consult the info boards in the train station and/or this site.
Due to the nature of this event, early publication has been authorized.
