We were introduced to the Dunstable Rural Land Trust (DRLT) several years ago thanks to geocaching. We visit the preserve frequently and thought we would share this quiet loop with those of you who might be interested in finding a traditional style cache in a more remote area of the preserve. The cache is a Lock and Lock style container. Refer to the "Related Web Page" link to view a map of the area.
We typically access the DRLT via the trailhead near Sky Top Lane. The cache is hidden along the Tully Woods Trail which is marked by orange blazes. Access this trail from the blue trail in the clearing south of the upper pond. Take the orange trail across a small brook and through a clearing before entering the woods onto an old logging road. Go left at the fork. The trail continues along a wooded logging trail for a short distance before taking a right at a fork and continuing through an impressive stand of pines. The trail goes up and down several small hills and then continues to the North end of the upper pond and rejoins the blue trail. Note that the "Tully Woods I (GC5FFD5)" geocache is also located on the orange trail and is a short distance away from this cache.
