In the spirit of the area's rich civil war history, two great geocaching organizations, one from the North, and one from the South, have teamed up to host a CITO event following closing ceremonies of GeoWoodstock XIII. The CITO event will be a trash cleanup. It will take place at Doubs Woods Park on Saturday May 23rd from 6PM to 7PM. Doubs Woods Park is only 7 miles away from the GeoWoodstock location, so you can still attend closing ceremonies, make it out to the CITO, and then return to the Washington Ag Center in time for the Geocoin Event later in the evening. We will meet in the parking lot of the Washington County Technical High School, which are the given coordinates, and clean up the trash in the southern area of Doubs Woods Park. Trash bags will be provided, all you need to bring are gloves and/or trash grabbers.
We hope you can join the Maryland Geocaching Society and the Northern Virginia Geocaching Organization in giving back to the community that has welcomed GeoWoodstock and geocachers.
The street address for the parking coordinates is 50 West Oak Ridge Drive Hagerstown, MD 21740
