Geocache Description:

Dame Vera Lynn is a patron of the hospital home opposite which provides devoted nursing and specialist medical care for disabled ex-servicemen and women.

The cache is a micro, hidden not far from the entrance to the hospital home.

Please use stealth and bring a pen. Please also take care when replacing.

When casualties in the First World War reached appalling numbers, the QAHH was founded in 1919 in Roehampton to care for those who were permanently disabled. Long before the concept of the Welfare State, the home pioneered medical and social care procedures that are taken for granted today. It was moved to Worthing in 1934. Each year it provides care and rehabilitation to more than 100 physically disabled ex-Servicemen and women and their dependents. With 60 beds, a physiotherapy suite, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy, it can offer long-term and respite care.
