The event basics:

At Lakeside Nature Center

Arrive between 8 am – 9 am (Line fills up fast.)
CITO between approximately 9 am - Noon
What You Should Know:
- They will serve donuts, coffee and juice in the morning.
- At noon, they will serve lunch.
- All tools are furnished.
- You should dress for working outside in dirty, possibly muddy, conditions. (Perfect for geocachers!)
- Closed-toe shoes are absolutely necessary for your safety and are required.
- Insect repellant is suggested.
- Bring a reusable drinking water container. They will supply the drinking water.
- There are always a large variety of sites needing attention and we may end up breaking into different groups. Please mention if any members of your team will be under 18 so we can ensure they are not assigned any place that might be dangerous.
- If you think you might arrive late send me a PM beforehand and I can give you my cell number.
- The locations are assigned around 9:00 AM and we will depart around that time.
- If this is your first event/CITO let me know ahead of time and I will arrange a time and place to meet with you.
- The Geocacher involvement is in conjunction with a large effort so expect upwards of several hundred people when you arrive. As a result you may end up parking and walking a long distance to the registration area if you arrive closer to 9:00 AM or after.

Experience the wild world of nature in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri. Lakeside Nature Center, located in Swope Park, at 4701 East Gregory Blvd, exhibits wildlife native to the area, offers educational programs, coordinates community conservation projects, and is one of Missouri’s largest wildlife rehabilitation facilities.
Lakeside Nature Center is an incredible place to enjoy learning about local native wildlife, including birds of prey, snakes, amphibians, turtles, fish, and invertebrates. Whether you wish to explore the exhibits on your own, or sign up for a wildlife program, your visit is certain to be enjoyable.
