Warleigh Point Nature Reserve (managed by the Devon Wildlife Trust) is one of the finest examples of coastal oak woodland in Devon. Overlooking the Tamar-Tavy estuary, this reserve offers magnificent views and a wealth of wildlife ranging from wintering wildfowl and waders to woodland birds. It’s paths take you from seashore to butterfly glades, and from the banks of a stream to the blanket of bluebell woodland.
This series of caches will take you around the main track. Some of the paths are level, but you will also deal with steps and gradients. Certain areas can become muddy after rain, so be careful! We recommend that you find the caches in order from 1-5. Take time to appreciate the views across the estuary and enjoy the peace of the surroundings. This series has been laid with the kind permission of the Devon Wildlife Trust.
