Geocache Description:

This geocache can be found along the Lake Shore Trail, a 2.2 mile long loop trail in Pipestem State Park. It is in a clear, waterproof container that contains tradables. Parking is availible beside the Arboretum, across from McKeever Lodge.

The Lake Shore trail starts at the Arboretum Parking lot and begins with a steep decent down a paved road. (PLEASE NOTE: the paved road to Long Branch Lake is only accessable to vehicles with handicap permits, foot travel is welcome). At the bottom of the hill, the trail follows the shore of Long Branch Lake before heading into the woods and then back to the lake. It is a 2.2 mile loop trail. This cache in in a clear, waterproof container, approximately 4"x6"x6". I has an orange "Official Geocache" sticker. It contains tradables. This trail may also be accessed via Law Hollow, Den Tree, Cottage, Turkey Spur, South Side, or Lake View Trails. Trail maps are available at the Nature Center, Camp Ground, McKeever Lodge, or Park Headquarters or online at http://www.pipestemresort.com/pipeparkmap.pdf.
