Geocache Description:

HR

EN

Marijan Haberle (1908 - 1979),  was a Croatian architect. He was one of the bussiest Croatian architects in period between WW1 and WW2 and. He also continued his architectural work succesfully after the WW2.

Among numerous projects from the period between WW1 and WW2 we have to highlight project of Zagrebači zbor (Zagreb fair) that was designed in 1936 together with Hinko Bauer, and church of blaženog Marka Križevčanina on Selska cesta (1940). Very interesting was also his interpolation of apartment building with movie theater that was built 1939/49 in Kordunska street in Zagreb.

This cache has brought you in front of one of his last projects – concert hall Vatroslav Lisinski, built from 1961 to 1973.

Vatroslav Lisinski concert hall is in Vukovarska boulevard which is representative for croatian architecture of 1950's and 1960's. There are many important buildings from that period, designed by famous architecs as Šegvić, Rašica, Geršić, Galić or Fabris.

If you are visiting our city and have some extra time, take a walk down the street and pay attention on the Croatian 1950's architecture…
