This cache may be seen by others as extreme so please only attempt this if you are confident in your ability to climb up and down. Any injury that may result from this cache is entirely your own fault and responsibility. It is recommended that you don't climb alone and please respect the countryside.
Off road parking is recommended in nearby streets although best option is within the Merritt Gardens estate which has an alleyway leading to the road off which this cache is located. Please do not park down the road as it is a private road.
Through the gate it will be the first pine tree that you arrive at. You are looking for a bison placed high up in the tree which at night can be seen by the reflective marker on the bottom, if you walk past this tree and stand at the second tree looking back (however, I wouldn't recommend actually doing this at night).
Although this cache was placed with no equipment and is a free climb with a great view from the top, you may need a helping hand to get onto the first branch to begin the climb so best to be prepared. From this there is a lovely walk across to Claygate Common and beyond.
Please replace the cache exactly where found and be careful.
Well done to mpw246pl for getting the FTF Also many thanks to Amberel for the Top Cache Award !!!
