Geocache Description:

A four mile circular walk to the north of Cranleigh - the largest village in England.

My second series of caches is a circular walk of approx 4 miles starting off from Smithwood Common where you can also find another two of my caches. The route is mostly on public footpaths and passes through varied countryside including both woodland and open fields with some stiles to cross. There is a short section along a narrow uphill lane where you should take care especially if you have children or dogs with you. Allow approx 3 hours for the circuit.

Caches are mostly of the Traditional type with the addition of three simple Multi-caches and one Letterbox. There is no Bonus to collect this time so you could attempt them in any order although if you do not follow the numbers then you might need to backtrack with the Multis. Containers vary in both type and size with a few different outer containers to keep you amused.

After leaving CNW #02 you will need to take the first footpath to your right. However before doing so you may wish to carry on a short distance to N 51 09.812 W 000 29.567 to admire the view towards the South Downs on a clear day. Then rejoin the footpath where you may need to keep close to the fence on your left after a while to avoid a muddy section.

Here you will see four hydrant signs. Reading from the left use the following numbers to decode the formula:

A = 1st upper
B = 1st lower
C = 2nd lower
D = 3rd upper
E = 3rd lower
F = 4th lower

N 51 09. (A - D) (A - C) (D * F)

W 000 29. (B - E) (A / F) (C - D - F)

Congratulations to sham69 on FTF.

Please only log a find if you have signed the log. If you haven't, try adding a "write note" instead. Thanks.
