Meet fellow geocachers and learn all about the world of Geocaching from experienced geocachers on Thursday, October 15, 2015, beginning at 6:47 p.m., at the BP Energy Center, 900 E. Benson Blvd. (Click for map.)
Tonight's speaker is Dana Rosso, aka DR-AK. He will be delivering a fast-paced presentation on everything you ever wanted to know about trackable items. What they are, what you do with them, and how to move them and log them correctly. This topic is perfect for new and seasoned geocachers alike.
GeocacheAlaska! Sourdough Members who cannot attend at an event site can link in remotely. Contact SSO JOAT for instructions on how to do so at least 48 hours ahead of time.
Please post a "Will Attend" log on this event page to stay appraised of the final details. If we need to make any announcements about this event, all registered attendees will automatically receive an email copy of those announcements via the email you have registered with your Geocaching.com account. Adding a "Will Attend" log to this page will also assure enough hard copy handouts are printed for the event participants.
Please arrive on time so upfront administrative details can be handled and announcements made, allowing the course content to start precisely at 6:59 p.m. Also, please bring your favorite nonalcoholic beverage and a dessert to share with your fellow cachers.
The GeocacheAlaska! Store will be available onsite immediately after the presentation. You may purchase the new 2015 pathtag sets as well as items from our line of GxProxy gear and official Groundspeak merchandise. We also have the new megabison engraved with the Alaska State Parks permit number.
