This 50 State Star celebrates the 8th state to join the US, the Palmetto State, South Carolina!

This series of caches are all placed with permission in Manchester State Forest, along the Palmetto Trail. The trail is open year round, but be advised, September 15 through April 30 is hunting season in Manchester. The trails are open 24 hours a day, but there is no camping allowed. There are several locations you can park at, please refer to 01 - 50 State Star SC for coordinates for all parking locations.

In accordance with WMA regulations, anyone who leaves the trail to enter the woods at any point is required to wear "international" orange."All nonexempt persons(geocachers) must wear a hat, coat, or vest of solid international orange while on Wildlife Management Area lands during deer hunting season."
