VS#100!: Russell's Water (Chitty/Geolympix Legacy) Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

Simply Paul: Dropped by to pick this up on a day almost nice enough to get me to change my mind. But no- freeing up the space for others is often a good move. Nice to see the pond again in such lovely weather.

Thanks for finding this one folks!

Geocache Description:

A Letterbox Hybrid (in a simple Offset Multi format) cache at a very special location; the pond at Russell's Water is a famous one, as it's here where Truly Scrumptious crashed her car several times in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! This cache is the spiritual successor to my Chitty Chitty Bang Splash cache & also RTH20 Quick Duck, a cache set with drsolly as SimplySolly.

This is a Village Signs Series* Geocache.

There's a stamp in the cache - please don't remove it!

At the above co-ords you'll find a bench dedicated to the memory of a Mr Wilde.
His dates are 19AB-20CD

You'll find the cache a short distance away at
N51 36.(B-A+C)(A+B+1)(A+D)
W000 58.(B+1)(Ax2)(D-C).

Obvious footpaths (no stiles/gates) will lead you the way. Wheelchair users should be able to get close to the final.

For the windmill from CCBB, see the Geolympix Marathon Series.

Good luck and happy hunting!

THE GEOLYMPIX RETURNS! With a Winter twist! GC75FTF - Saturday October 27th 2018 - Ashridge Estate, Berkhamsted, Herts, UK

*If you'd like to expand this series, please do. We just ask that you let SmokeyPugs know first so they can keep track of the Village Sign numbers and names to avoid duplication.
