Geocache Description:

Thornicombe

The 356th in a series of caches where a red telephone box
is in close proximity to a post box

A small cluster of houses on the A354 between Blandford Forum and Winterborne Whitechurch is an area known as Thornicombe. The minor side road in the village links this with the main A350 at Charlton on the Hill.

Adrenaline seekers may well know the complete outdoor activity centre, created when the Meaden family were forced into a “diversify or bust” situation in the 1990’s, due to the dire situation of the farming industry having an effect on their farm in the village.

The telephone box and postbox stand side by side in the side road just off of the main A354.

This is a traditional cache hidden at the given co-ordinates
