Cherwell on Sea ! !
Well, actually, there's no sea, there's no Prom, and as far as I know, no local Brass Band, but unusually, there is a rather attractive inland beach, and in remembrance of one of the very first Caches we found - (an old River Thames Cache, "GC2QX1G, Beside the Seaside, Beside the... River!", long since archived due to regular winter flooding) - we thought it might be pleasant to paddle or picnic here on the Cherwell foreshore, or just to hunt for the nearby Cache.
Locals have of course known about this site for years, but we have only recently discovered it, so I hope we'll be forgiven for attracting extra visitors here. Several footpaths cross this open space woodland, and there are several other Caches nearby, including Go Catch's "Thrupp Wander" series, and Breilliant's enigmatic "54 with the Jokers", which could be included as part of a short circular trail..
As there are no good flood proof hide sights on the beach itself, the Cache is located a few metres off the footpath.
