Peach&Pete: The event has come and gone, but the Adventure continues. You can pick up a passport at the Auburn Parks temporary headquarters, 2840 Riverwalk Drive SE, Auburn WA 98002, and find the 20 caches, return to the Parks department office and collect your coin. You can also download a PDF of the passport at http://www.auburnwa.gov/things_to_do/recreation/geocaching.htm.

Thanks to all those who participated the day of event, and who still continue to find these caches. We trust that we showed you some new and amazing parks areas in Auburn. Look for an announcement in 2016 about the Auburn Geocaching Adventure 2016 - even bigger and better!!!

Geocache Description:

Auburn has some amazing parks, and you probably do not know about all of them.  Come join us and learn about some newer parks in Auburn and all they have to offer in beautiful amenities and opportunities for additional geocaches.  We will also introduce you to some new geocaches in some historic or general interest locations around Auburn. Meet the face behind the name in that log book. Bring a friend that wants to learn more about geocaching.

WHEN - Saturday, October 17, 2015 - 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

WHERE - Auburn City Hall Lobby and Council Chambers - 25 W. Main Street, Auburn WA  98001

WHAT - Join fellow geocachers and put a face with a name you have seen in a log or two. Visit with long time friends and meet some new friends that may have traveled to attend this event and learn what interesting caches others have found over the last several months. Bring some friends that want to find out why we love this outdoor activity so much. Pick up a passport, download the 20 new caches to your GPSr device, and begin your Adventure. One completed passport per household, please.  The caches will be released at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015. Light snacks will be served to those attending.

If you don't know anything about geocaching - or think you need to know more - we'll offer a crash course in what geocaching is and why you should be out there finding these wonderful caches.  Someone will be at event headquarters until 5:00 p.m. to answer questions, give some additional hints if necessary, or for turning in your completed passport. You do not have to complete the Adventure on the event date, but can pick up a passport or download it to begin your adventure after this event date. For finding the 20 caches, we will reward you with a beautiful trackable geocoin.  See the picture below of the coin you will earn for finding all 20 caches.

We look forward to seeing you there.  Please log your "Will Attend" so we'll know how many people to prepare for.  We plan for this to be the First Annual Auburn Geocaching Adventure, and hope to provide you with enough fun that you'll be anxious to return again next year to help us celebrate Auburn's 125th Anniversary as a city.
