The Geo Boo Gang is a social group made up of geocachers from northeastern New Jersey and the Lower Hudson Valley of New York. The Geo Boo Gang holds regular events, including monthly ice cream socials and quarterly dinners. They race each other for First to Finds and often run into each other on local trails.

It was during one of their ice cream socials that the following conversation occurred:
Olga: ... and that's how I developed a love for cooking.
Bo: Wait, I love to cook too. How did I never know this about you?
Cody: Well, all we usually talk about is geocaching. I don't think I really know much about any of you, besides the fact that you enjoy finding plastic food containers in the woods using a super-expensive satellite system!
Felicia: Hey, that gives me an idea! Why don't we create a puzzle series together; each of us would create a puzzle based on something that interests him or her? Olga or Bo could use cooking if they wanted to, for example, since they both love cooking. And then together we can create a final, bonus puzzle, based on all our individual puzzles. This will be a fun way to get to know each other better.
Cornelius: Caesar and I are brothers. Can we put together a puzzle as a team?
Balto: Jack and I hang out all the time. Can we create a puzzle together too?
Felicia: That sounds great guys! So we'll have six puzzles, which works out perfectly. Let's coordinate the bonus puzzle, and then we'll go create our individual puzzles on our own.
And that's how the Geo Boo Gang puzzle series was born.

When not in the kitchen, Olga has a passion for arts and crafts. She discovered her interest in art during summer day camp; arts and crafts in the air conditioned craft shack was her favorite activity during those hot months. From lanyards to clay sculptures, Olga tried every type of craft and loved them all. She has her favorite art projects displayed around her house today.

Today, Olga is taking an art class with her teacher Mrs. Moses.
“Okay class, let’s get started,” said Mrs. Moses. “Today we will be beginning a new series of lessons on an art style you may or may not have tried before: the mosaic. Can anyone tell me what a mosaic is?”
Olga immediately raised her hand. “Mrs. Moses, is it a picture made from small colored pieces of tile?”
“Very good Olga,” replied Mrs. Moses. “But just remember, a mosaic doesn’t have to be a picture per se; what you make could be any image or pattern. Also, many other types of material may be used, such as stone or glass.”
“Now class,” continued Mrs. Moses, “today you will begin creating a mosaic of your own. On my desk I have a stack of papers, each with a grid, with which you can start designing your mosaics. I’d like to review your designs before you start building them. Now go get started!”
Olga rushed over to Mrs. Moses’ desk and picked up several sheets. She spent the rest of the class designing the pattern, and as class was ending, went to Mrs. Moses.
“Now that’s an interesting pattern,” said Mrs. Moses. “I haven’t seen a mosaic done like that before. I can visualize the end result, but can you tell me what inspired you to create it?”
“Sure,” replied Olga. “I’m part of a geocaching group called the Geo Boo Gang, and I’m supposed to be creating a puzzle for them to solve. I’ve hidden a geocache somewhere, and I want them to put this mosaic together in order to find it.”
“What a great use of the mosiac!” said Mrs. Moses. “I’d like to see you put this together and bring it back next week, but I think your friends will enjoy this puzzle. Have a great week!”
“Bye Mrs. Moses, and thank you!” said Olga as she left the class.
Olga’s mosaic pattern may be found below. Each symbol is marked with the color it represents in the mosaic.
