In driving through this area pretty much every year, somehow this beautiful and well-kept cemetary had escaped my notice till last summer. The colors and ornamentation are like nothing you've ever seen - a true honoring of the lives lived here in this lovely and remote Alaskan villiage. Find the drive, which hooks up off the highway on the North side. Please be ever so respectful as you look around, appreciating the love and care that went into making this place, and in finding the cache. Just so there is no confusion about disturbing anything sacred - the cache is a little bison hanging in a spruce tree to the right of the main part of the cemetary, when you face it uphill. Don't forget to say a prayer thanking God for His providing brave men and women to protect us, if you are the believing sort!
