Festivities will be held at Villa Sacred Heart in Danville. This is our third year as geocachers and we wanted to sponsor an event that would celebrate the beauty of our grounds, and our amazing planet. Also, the event sponsors, the Sisters of Saints Cyril and Methodius, have had a serious commitment to care for the environment during their 106 year history. Whether you attended the last two events or missed the fun, please plan to attend this year!!
We thought a perfect way to celebrate Our Amazing Earth would be with a take-off on “The Amazing Race.” During the event, teams of 4 will participate in a variety of Amazing-Race-type activities based on skill, and the willingness to have fun. Start planning your team of 4 for the race, or join new friends at the event to make a team of 4. The geocaching activities will take place on various spots on our large property
Activities begin at 1:00 SHARP and will wrap-up by 3:00. The agenda includes geo-fellowship, door prizes, and of course, GEOCACHING! New caches will be released in and around the Villa Sacred Heart grounds DURING the event.
Please enter at the corner of Academy Avenue and Railroad Street (the posted event coordinates) and follow signs for parking and for entrance to the event in the gymnasium.
