Davinci Glider

Leonardo da Vinci never flew, but he was among
the first to develop a plan to allow humans to soar like the birds.

This is not just a museum dedicated to the exhibition of works related to its namesake; it is a place dedicated to da Vinci’s greatest skill, learning to learn, and his most famous tool, his curiosity. It is a hands-on museum that allows you to “freely wander and wonder”.

The cache is inside the museum and is available to be found:

Open 7 days a week 10:00am–5:00pm
Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, and Christmas Eve (check www.theleonardo.org for other holiday closures)

The Flight exhibit is included with your admission to the museum. The property owners have graciously agreed to host this cache and they appreciate your patronage. the small admission fee makes it possible to provide exhibits, educations programs, AND, of course, a super-fun geocaching experience, possible. Thank you!

Current Admission price as of May 2019:

Adults (16-64) $12.95
Children (3-15) $8.95
Children (2 & younger) Free
Seniors (65 +), students, military $9.95 with ID

Prices can also be found here: Visit The Leonardo

Bottom line, this is one cool place!!!

BiplaneFLIGHT, the Exhibit

If you've ever dreamed of being a pilot, or have had an interest in aviation; if you're a history buff or would like to see how planes work, this exhibit will delight and enthrall you. You can actually step inside our full-scale C-131 aircraft, settle into the pilot's or copilot's seat and take off! There are also other interactive displays you can fly or play with. It's the "height" of fun for everyone!!! After you've finished enjoying the Flight exhibit, visit the rest of the museum as well. Children, especially will get a kick out of our museum, but adults enjoy it, too.

We're so proud of our new exhibit. While we have "borrowed" exhibits from other museums in the past, this time we built it completely from the ground up all by ourselves! We are so excited to welcome you to visit our wonderful museum! We have just added a brand-new exhibit on Flight which will knock your socks off. What makes it all the more amazing IS A UTAH GEOTOUR GEOCACHE IS INCORPORATED INTO IT!!!!

This is no park 'n grab, folks. By all means, stay and enjoy yourself! With so much to see and do, you'll need to plan on spending an hour or two. Every minute will be worth it. We promise!

You simply CANNOT miss the chance to see this incredible exhibit and grab an AWESOME Visit Utah Geotour cache at the same time!

Utah Life Elevated The Cache

THE STAMP AND PENCIL SHARPENER ARE NOT FOR TRADE. PLEASE LEAVE THEM IN THE CACHE BOX.

For you geocachers who have already visited the Leo to find the geocache, come again and find it in its new location!

In this hands-on museum one of the things you can get your hands on is a geocache. In order to find it you’ll have to think like Leonardo. Be curious! Explore! Seek the answers to the questions below. Although the puzzle focuses on the new Flight exhibit, the Leonardo’s first original exhibit, you’ll have to explore the other exhibits to find all the answers.

Print the two images below and take them with you to the museum. As you immerse yourself in the exhibit, fill out the answers to the questions. The letters in the center box will give you the keywords to the location of our geocache and to the combination of the lock on the box.

Please be discrete when finding the cache. Please wait patiently for muggles, especially little ones, to leave the area. Most importantly be sure the lock is secure when you are done. A light source is not absolutely necessary but may be helpful in locating the final quickly. The light on your phone should do.

If you are having trouble getting the images to print, inquire at the front desk of the museum for a paper copy. It is not necessary to talk to anyone to find the cache, but are ready to help you with a hint or two if you need it. If there are any maintenance issues with the cache please let the staff know immediately.

Now go have fun learning about flight and finding the cache!
