Geocache Description:

You are looking for a camo’d bison tube in this designated parking area in the Tosohatchee WMA. The number is the parking area number used in 2015 – they do change numbers, so be aware of that! The tube will be very close to the sign with the number on it – sometimes oh so close! So this is a true “park and grab” cache. Just find the right road and the caches will be yours!

This series will take you all around the Tosohatchee WMA. I created this series just to showcase this beautiful area. The roads are all dirt, when the caches were put out the roads were in great shape, some a little bumpy, but that was it. The entrance is at the main gate off Taylor Creek Road (N28 29.900 W80 59.921). There is a charge per car unless you are 65 or older, then it is free. The gate opens at 8:00am and closes at sunset. There are a lot of rural GEOcaches in Tosohatchee of all varieties. Many are right off the many trails and grass roads that crisscross the WMA. The orange blazed Florida Trail runs right through the Tosohatchee. There are a couple of camping areas. To reserve a spot or for any information give the office a call at 407-568-5893, they are very helpful. Maps maybe available at the signin area.

Being that it this is a WMA, hunting is allowed at certain times. You can check my hunting calendar at “www.tinyurl.com/techunts” or click here to see it now. If in the area during hunting season, wear your orange or bright colors.

If you should see some trash, please be a CITO cacher and pick it up.

Happy caching to all!
