This is a series of puzzle caches based upon the UCI World Tour. Each puzzle builds on the next and they will get increasingly more challenging as you progress through the series. The puzzles will lead to a trail of caches along official cycle routes and therefore are best done by bike. The caches are small and will not contain swaps but could cope with a small TB or geocoin.
The opening stage of the 2015 Giro d’Italia was a team time trial from San Lorenzo al Mare to San Remo. It was unusual as much of the route used cycle paths rather than roads. Somewhere on the route there are two areas with benches, a recycling bin and bike parking spaces on either side of a river. They are to the right of the cycle path as the riders headed towards San Remo. You might wonder how you can use SV when the camera van wouldn’t have been able to go on the bike path. Well it seems the camera van did anyway. It also seems the driver was stopped by a police officer. At the more Easterly bike parking there are A openings, B people and C green arrows on the recycling bin. There is parking for AD bikes. There are two words on the back of the car that stopped the camera van. The 4th and 6th letter of the first word is E. The fine the camera van driver got for driving on the cycle path was FG,HIJ Euros.
Subtract (B+C)A from the Northing for stage 21.
Subtract ED from the Westing for stage 21.
You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
