Geocache Description:

Moncton's Race for Cache 2016

The Post-Race Party & BBQ

The seventh annual Moncton Race for Cache is being held on August 13th, and geocacher's from all over are welcome to participate. If you would like to learn more about the race itself, head on over to the official race website. Teams interested in registering for the race MUST register online at the website before the race. We also ask that you please log your intent to attend on this page whether you are racing or not. The actual race itself starts at 1pm at Bore Park in Moncton. Details are on the official site.

If you are unsure whether or not you can make the race itself or just the BBQ, register a team anyway just to hold your position. It will make it FAR easier for us to plan for capacity.

Teams participating in the race are encouraged to arrive at Bore Park between noon and 12:45pm to insure they are registered and in attendance for the pre-race announcements. All teams will leave the starting line at 1pm exactly.

Please be aware that for anyone participating in the race itself, we will be charging a fee for the race event itself to cover admin and food costs. The fee cost is $5/person and details about the fee can be found on the official race website. There is no fee if you are not participating in the actual race itself and are only coming to the BBQ.

This event will be held after the race and is a gathering for all geocachers whether they participate in the race or not. The event will take place at Caseley Park in Riverview at 5pm. This is the actual finish line for the the race itself.

The event will consist of the regular meet and greets, drinks, food, talk of geocaching and caching adventures, bug and coin swapping, as well as the actual crowning of the winners for the Moncton Race for Cache.

This is a potluck style BBQ so feel free to bring anything you wish to cook. You can also bring drinks, snacks, or anything else you wish to contribute to the BBQ. Racers are free to bring items if they choose. If you are going to bring something regardless, please make a note of it when you log your intent to attend.

As host of the race, I will be providing pop, water, hamburgers, and hotdogs so you can cross those off as items to be brought.

All cachers who participate in the race should be in attendance as the winners will be announced at this event, and prizes given out. Come on out and meet some fellow geocachers and see who gets crowned winner of the sixth annual Moncton's Race for Cache. This event is for the post party celebration only. Registration and information about the actual race itself can be found at the race's website.

If you are planning to come to the race/BBQ, PLEASE log a Will Attend so I have some idea of how many to expect. Race registrations will help but logs here will help as well.

Hope to see you all there!
