Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the published co-ords, but you will need to visit that location in order to determine the final GZ co-ords for the container & logbook.

There is no need to enter the "Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre" in order to collect the necessary information, therefore this task can be carried out anytime - just stand at the magnificent gates, peer through and note the following:

Year on the end gable of a small building to your right = ABCD

Look for a blue 'sculpture' just beyond the small building - No of characters at top = E

Each of the imposing brick gate pillars have a course of blue bricks - No of holes in each brick = F

Final GZ will be found at: N52° 53.(B)(C)(D - E), W001° 08.(D - A)(E - F)(F - A)

The Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre is the owner of the old Great Central Railway line from Ruddington to Loughborough junction in Leicestershire.

The Centre is located within Rushcliffe Country Park, where there are plenty of scenic walks plus children's play areas, skate board park, dog agility course and much more.

The railway’s base at the former GCRN Ruddington terminus features a model railway, miniature railway, heritage bus collection and engineering workshop, plus cafe and gift shop. The railway is entirely owned and operated by a dedicated group of volunteers.

The Great Central Railway - Nottingham operates heritage services across 10 miles of former mainline rail track through South Nottinghamshire and North-West Leicestershire, hauled by steam and historic diesel locomotives. Journeys begin at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre near Ruddington, south of Nottingham, and continue to East Leake and Loughborough. Plans to restore the rail link with the Great Central Railway at Loughborough are well advanced.

Parking is available close to the published co-ordinates during opening times of the Rushcliffe Country Park (free but £1 donation invited). When the Country Park is closed and access road barrier down, it is just a short walk from the barrier to the published co-ords, which is accessible 24/7 to pedestrians. Parking is available on the access road through the business park which leads to the Heritage Centre, also space for one/two vehicles close to the barrier.

The cache container is not located within the Heritage Centre site and with stealth is available 24/7. More information on the SideTracked series is available on their website.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
